A good lead-free solder joint often looks duller and grainier than an old tin-lead joint, which was bright and shiny. Inspectors once treated dullness as a warning sign. With lead-free alloys a matte finish can be perfectly normal, so strength is judged by standards, not shine

Tin-zinc wire is an alloy wire fed into a metal-spraying gun. The gun melts the wire and sprays the molten metal onto a surface to form a conductive layer. Its most common use is in the manufacture of AC and DC capacitors, where the wire is sprayed onto the ends of wound capacitor elements to create the terminal contact surface.
The brochure names no standard for tin-zinc wire, so none is claimed.
