Copper Rod.

Copper rod is the starting material for most electrical conductors. Wire drawers pull it through a series of dies to reduce it to the required wire diameter, so its purity, surface quality and diameter control directly affect how well it draws and how well the finished wire performs.

SMARTE VENTURES PVT LTD (formerly Shree Madhav Agencies Pvt. Ltd.) supplies 8 mm continuous cast copper rod made with Contirod® technology. In continuous casting, molten copper is cast and hot-rolled in one continuous line. This gives a uniform rod along its whole length, which supports steady high-speed drawing.

Coil format

Coil format
Coils are laid in an orbital pattern, so the rod uncoils without tangling. Each coil is weld-free, up to 4,500 kg.
Sourcing

Copper is sourced from established primary producers, including Birla Copper (Hindalco), Hindustan Copper and Sesa Sterlite (Vedanta).

Supply
The same rod feeds SMARTE’s own bare copper wire and super enamelled copper winding wire lines. It is also supplied directly to other copper product manufacturers.

  • Good ductility: Elongation of at least 30% (ASTM), above 40% (customer-grade).
  • Named, traceable sourcing from major Indian primary copper producers.
  • Sea-freight packing: Coils compacted, strapped and stretch-wrapped on wooden pallets.
  • Proven downstream use: The rod feeds SMARTE’s own wire and winding wire production
